Ryan Reynolds' offer of $5,000 reward helps reunite 'Mama Bear' with Pinay in Canada

Ryan Reynolds is happy and thankful for the return of a Filipina’s stolen teddy bear he tweeted about few days ago.

Recall that in a report by CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), the bear owned by 28-year-old Mara Soriano was stolen while she was moving into a new apartment in Vancouver, Canada last week. CCTV footage Mara obtained shows a man outside the apartment while she was away momentarily, got the bag containing the bear and gadgets.

It’s no ordinary toy, though, as it contains a recording of Mara’s late mother saying, “I love you, I’m proud of you, I’ll always be with you.” 

Hearing about the news, the actor brought more attention to it by offering $5,000 reward “to anyone who returns it to Mara.” His message exceeded 100,000 retweets and more than 340,000 likes.

Other celebrities announced chipping in too and reportedly, the reward summed $15,000.

“In happier news…thank you everyone who searched high and low. To the person who took the bear, thanks for keeping it safe. Vancouver is awesome,” Ryan’s latest post read that retweeted a photo of Mara reunited with the bear, captioned “MAMABEAR IS HOME!”

According to Mara’s reply to concerned netizens, the voice box of the bear is safe although the glasses aren’t there; and that it was returned to hear in “very clean” condition. It was given to her by “two good Samaritans.”
