ILIGAN CITY – The Iligan City Health Management Emergency Surveillance Unit (ICHEMSU) recorded five new confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases here Thursday, July 2.
The new COVID-19 cases included four returning overseas Filipino (ROFs), who were all men coming from Saudi Arabia, and one female locally stranded individual (LSI), who came from Cebu City.
City Health Officer Dr. Cherlina C. Cañaveral said two of the ROFs, aged 35 and 45 years old, came from Barangay Dalipuga, a man aged 44 was from Barangay Saray, and the fourth was a 26-year old from Upper Hinaplon. They all came from Saudi Arabia and Manila, and arrived in Iligan in successive dates from June 25 to 29.
They are now at the city’s isolation facility.
Patient IC14 was a 53-year old female, and a resident of barangay Suarez. She had travel history to Cebu City and arrived in Iligan on June 21. She was initially triaged at the Iligan Isolation Center (ICC). She was placed on home quarantine until admitted in the hospital last June 25 due to fever and difficulty of breathing.
As of July 2, Iligan City has a total number of 15 confirmed COVID-19 cases, four recovered with two deaths.
