Archery chief Clint Aranas, the recognized leader of a band of officials given the tag ‘Group of Seven,’ vowed Monday to work with the Philippine Olympic Committee to put things in order.

Following two meetings that ended in deadlock, Aranas said in an online presser Monday that POC president Bambol Tolentino has called for another board meeting to address certain issues that were left hanging the last time.

The board meeting was called to settle the issue on age-capping on candidates and the proposal to bar officials from holding sensitive posts in more than one national sports association.

The label ‘Group of Seven” was likewise cited by Aranas as being “very divisive,” claiming that he and aligned members were even “cooperative.”

Apart from Aranas, others who make up the faction include Joey Romasanta, Jonne Go, Julian Camacho, Robert Mananquil, Steve Hontiveros and Jeff Tamayo.

But Tolentino insists the key points were never addressed properly during the four-hour online discussion last Friday, with board members allegedly out to derail the proceedings.

Before that session, the same board had met four days earlier but disagreed on the focal points, leaving Tolentino frustrated.

Aranas is hoping that a third one will settle the issues once and for all.

"We are seeking for another board meeting for the purpose of tackling the constitutional amendments," he said.
