MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim 'withdraws' Liza Dino's MMFF Execom membership
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Danilo Delapuz Lim has informed Film Development Council of the Philippines Chair Liza Dino that they have decided “to withdraw your appointment as member of the Executive Committee” of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
In a letter signed by Danilo Delapuz Lim dated July 21, 2020, a copy of which was obtained by Bulletin Entertainment, he alleged that “as early as 2016,” Liza “made efforts to transfer management of MMFF from Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP)” and that “you have not given up on your dream to take over the chairmanship of MMFF and to take it away from MMDA and is actively pursuing the same.”

Among other things, he claimed Liza also “directly accused MMFF of being involved in controversies.”
“We honestly believe therefore that your membership in the Executive Committee is no longer tenable as your actions are inimical to MMFF and reek of conflict of interest,” part of the letter read.
Bulletin Entertainment reached out to Liza and as of writing she said “our office is drafting a statement” on the matter.
