Singer-actress Rita Daniela recently revealed she has been experiencing “anxiety attacks” these past months.

Isa po ako sa magsasabing nahihirapan ako sa season na ito,” she said in an interview attended by Bulletin Entertainment. “Kasi umabot sa time na 'yung anxiety ko, sobrang lakas na bigla na lang out of nowhere, iiyak na lang ako.”

She remembers thinking such questions as “ano ang nangyayari, totoo ba 'tong nangyayaring ito.”

Adding to the weight in her mind is her ailing mother undergoing chemotherapy.

"Ayokong makikitang nahihirapan po 'yung nanay namin," she said. "'Yung feeling na kung sana... kung walang COVID at tuluy-tuloy 'yung work, mas mapapagaan namin ang buhay niya eh."

Rita added: "Pero gawa sa COVID, nalimitahan 'yung kakayahan naming magkakapatid na mas mapagaan ang buhay ng nanay namin.”

In the beginning of the pandemic, the young celebrity got herself worked up thinking how she and her family will survive the lockdown considering the entertainment industry is one of the hardest hit by the pandemic.

Thankfully, Rita has good support system. 

"Kapag inatake po ako ng anxiety ko, I try my best na kumausap sa mga friends ko,” she said. “Malaking bagay din ang nagdadasal kasi only God can take away all our anxieties and worries. Siya ang bahala kung paano ka maka-survive, at kung paano niya ma-provide ang needs and wants mo in life."

Rita has returned to work. She is part of musical-comedy-variety program “All-Out Sundays" now back on air via GMA-7.
