South Korean star Nancy McDonie of the group Momoland considers Filipina Charlie Dizon her "best friend in the Philippines."
The revelation was made during an Instagram live video chat, where the 20-year-old K-Idol joined the 23-year-old Pinay.
Upon joining the live session, Nancy immediately expressed her love to Charlie, saying, "Oh my god! I miss you so much! This is so weird."
The two first met nine years ago when they trained under an agency in South Korea to become K-pop idols.
Asked to share their "unforgettable moments" together, Nancy noted they have a lot, and she's not even sure if she should be open about it.
"But she's, like, my best friend in the Philippines," Nancy declared.
According to her, the Filipino actress would take her everywhere.
"She was, like, so nice," was how she put it. "She always came to my hotel and pick me up and she would, like, show me all these great places and like restaurants and even like people too. We had a great time. It was really awesome."
Nancy admitted she felt sad that their reunion was postponed due to the pandemic.
"I'm so sad. You're supposed to come to Korea and I wanted to give you a tour," she shared, to which Charlie replied that Nancy should just save it for next year.
"Yeah, I hope it happens!" Nancy replied.
Nancy signed a contract with ABS-CBN last year. In fact, she was cast in a series led by James Reid.
Charlie is also an ABS-CBN artist, best known for her role on "A Soldier's Heart."
