Fourth leg of ASEAN-PCOO Roadshow kicks off in Cebu

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, together with other officials, on Friday, March 3, led the 4th leg of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO)-ASEAN roadshow in Cebu City as part of the efforts to inform more people at the grassroots about the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) and other government programs. According to Andanar, who is also Cebuano speaking, the roadshow aims to explain to every Cebuanos, particularly those living in the remote areas, the importance of hosting the ASEAN Summit this year. He also stressed it is important that every Filipino should be educated in the simplest language the benefits that we can get from ASEAN, as a country and as an individual. Andanar will also tackle the benefits every Filipino college graduate will get in the ASEAN integration program. Meanwhile, PCOO Assistant Secretary Kristian Ablan will focus on the implementation of the Freedom of Information (FOI) in the executive branch under the Duterte administration. Undersecretary Joel Egco of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security will lay down the program of the Duterte government in protecting journalists.
