PH crew UPeepz advances to 'World of Dance' semifinals

Filipino hip-hop dance crew UPeepz is en route to the “World of Dance” semifinals after it won against American dance crew The Rise in a round called the Duels.

The 11 members of UPeeps gave a dynamic performance to Pitbull’s “Hotel Room Service.” They were dressed as bellhops and they used a luggage cart as prop.

Jennifer Lopez was all praises for the group.

“I love this concept,” the pop star said. “You guys really stepped it up from the first time we saw you, I gotta tell you.”

She said the dance was “super clean” and “well-choreographed. She also mentioned that the tricks they performed “worked with the music."

Derem Hough, meanwhile, also has nothing but good words for the group.

“The synchronicity, tight movement is so fantastic,” he said.

However, Ne-Yo was the sole critic, saying the tricks “didn’t fall for him."

UPeepz is one step closer to the finals night of the competition, wherein the winner will bring home the $1 million grand prize.
