As the nation continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic, Gokongwei-led property developer Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) is doing its share in providing needed assistance to various sectors of society. The company also ensures that their frontliners are taken care of, our modern-day heroes who help keep everything going, especially in terms of operations, security and sanitation. Recently, frontliners of Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia and Forum Robinsons, received a generous donation of 65 bicycles from Life Cycles PH. Life Cycles PH is an organization created in response to the shutdown of public transportation. They help provide essential workers with sustainable transport. Recipients of the bicycles were mall security guards, housekeeping personnel, supermarket baggers and cashiers – all of whom put their life at risk to serve the community. The bicycles donated to Robinsons Malls frontliners have been very helpful as an alternative mode of transportation to the beneficiaries. The bicycles provide multiple health benefits and allow our frontliners to save on transportation costs. Life Cycles PH said they hope that this will be the start of broader acceptance of cycling as a sustainable and accessible mode of transportation in Metro Manila that will translate to biking infrastructure such as bike lanes and bike parking around the city. RLC salutes all the frontliners who are now modern day heroes, for their enormous sacrifices, efforts, and dedication. They make sure everything is up to order, they give a sense of continuity, assuring people that there’s still a safe place to come back after the quarantine.
