By Liezle Basa Inigo ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan — The City Government of Alaminos has a different way of giving relief packs as they bought agri-fishery products from its local producers. They shared these with their constituents to cope with the health crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Relief operations in Barangay Linmansangan (Alaminos LGU / MANILA BULLETIN) Philippine Information Agency said Alaminos City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste claimed some 30,000 households in the city will receive kilos of rice, fruits, and either pork, longganisa or bangus for the second wave of relief distribution that started on April 6. “Bumili po ang lokal na pamahalaan ng mga produktong lokal dito sa ating bayan bilang tulong sa ating farmers, longganisa makers, hog raisers at bangus growers na ipapamahagi bilang tulong pagkain sa mga mamamayan sa bayan ng Alaminos,” said Celeste. On the first distribution of relief packs, the city government gave away rice, watermelon, canned goods, and vegetables to help vegetable farmers as well. “Ngayon (second distribution) since wala na po kaming supply ng canned goods, ang ipinamimigay po namin ay isang kilo ng baboy, kung walang baboy, bangus o longganisa naman,” he said.
