JoyRide introduces 'pabili' service

By Alexandria Dennise San Juan To help the public heed the enforcement of strict home quarantine, motorcycle taxi JoyRide has launched its concierge or "pabili" service which allows users to ask bikers to buy essential goods during the extended lockdown period. C03A64A2-3164-4512-B653-8A538CAEBE9D (JOYRIDE / FACEBOOK / MANILA BULLETIN) In a statement on Wednesday, the motorcycle ride-hailing app said users can avail of the new service through the JoyRide customer app. Users must select the "Delivery" option where they could input the pick-up and drop-off locations as well as the item description. The maximum price of pabili item would be P2,000 per transaction, JoyRide said. The biker will shoulder the cost of the ordered items and the receiver will pay the total delivery fee and price of the item upon drop-off. JoyRide's Pabili service will be available beginning April 9, Maundy Thursday. The motorcycle hailing firm earlier launched "JoyRide Delivery," an on-demand delivery service, in a bid to help its riders and the public while the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) is in place. All forms of public transportation have been suspended including motorcycle taxis such as Joyride during the ECQ, which was extended until April 30, as strict home quarantine is being enforced.
