Defend Jobs Philippines has urged workers to join the "Virtual Labor Day March" on May 1.
The labor group said that workers, to be able to participate, need to do the following:
Step 1: Wear your work uniform.
Step 2: Make your own placard and write your complaints, especially if you have yet to receive cash assistance from the government amid the enhanced community quarantine.
Step 3: Take a selfie and post it on your social media accounts using the hashtag: #NasaanAngAyuda and #VirtualLaborDayMarch.
Defend Jobs Philippines said the posts will be collated and posted in their own Facebook page.
"We can still do the traditional march for the working Filipino to celebrate this great day. Although not in the streets due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we can do it online while inside our homes and communities," the group said in a Facebook post.
"Now more than any year, we need to be united in calling on the government to address our concerns on the lack of assistance and our other work-related complaints," added Defend Jobs Philippines.
"So let us participate in the Virtual Labor Day March on Labor Day this Friday, May 1," the group said.
