'Pulong' puts up 3 sanitizing cubicles in Davao City

(Photo courtesy of MARIVIC LOPEZ SENCIO / MANILA BULLETIN) The installation of epidemic prevention stations was initiated by the office of first district Rep. Paolo Z. Duterte. In a statement, Duterte said these stations were 360-degree sanitizing cubicles with temperature scanners that will automatically detect persons with fever. The the epidemic prevention stations were placed at Davao International Airport, Davao City Overland Transport Terminal, and Task Force Davao checkpoint in Barangay Lasang, Bunawan District. Meanwhile, the presidential son said he has also distributed 2,000 face masks and two thermal guns for each of the 182 barangays in Davao City. Aside from the city, he said the provinces of Davao Occidental, Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, and Davao Oriental would each receive 150,000 face masks and 90 thermal guns each provinces. Duterte also donated 100,000 face masks and 20 thermal guns to the Mati City government in Davao Oriental. Mati City Mayor Michelle N. Rabat thanked the presidential son for the donations since these were very much needed by the health workers who will be manning the Alternate Care Site in Milagrosa Retreat Center for persons under investigation. Duterte said the donation of 2 million face masks and 1,000 thermal guns, along with the three epidemic prevention stations, came from his friends in China who do not want to be identified.
