All detention cells remain free from COVID-19

Actually, this is the safest place now..." Año said. In a news briefing, Año said authorities will not allow anyone to enter the prison and detention cells as visitation has been temporarily suspended. “Kung may papasok na inmates diyan, they will undergo mandatory quarantine bago ipasok ng kulungan (If there are new inmates, they will first have to undergo mandatory quarantine before they enter their cells),’’ Año said The DILG chief said both the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) have temporarily suspended jail visits in all their respective prison facilities to prevent the spread of the disease.
