WTFu (What the FU) by MR.FU: Ate Guy for National Artist

For ACT-CIS Partylist Representative Rowena Nina Taduran, Superstar Nora Aunor’s recognition as National Artist for Film is long overdue. (parang overdue ng bill sa Meralco at tubig!)
“She has been denied the recognition twice. Ms. Nora Aunor’s time is now.” Rep. Taduran says. (naka-take two na ang superstar ha!)
The Congresswoman has recently filed House Resolution Number 1352, urging the House of Representatives to nominate Aunor for the National Artist Award for Film for her exemplary contribution to Philippine Entertainment Industry. She cited Aunor’s five-decade long career highlighted with local recognitions from FAMAS, FAP, PMPC, MMFF, Gawad Urian, LUNA Awards , Young Critics Circle, and international awards from Cairo International Awards, Saint Tropez International Film Festival, Venice International Film Awards and Cannes Film Festival.
Rep. Taduran says.
Even with the Superstar’s excellent body of work, some sectors still question her qualifications for the award especially that she got involved with several issues concerning her personal life. But for Representative Taduran, choosing a National Artist should focus on the individual’s achievements and recognitions. (di raw kasama love life!)
“Hindi siya dapat husgahan sa mga personal na pagkakamali. Dapat lang na bigyang parangal ang husay niya sa sining at kontribusyon sa industriya ng pelikula. “ Rep. Taduran explains. (walang himala!)
The Order of National Artist is the highest national recognition given by the NCCA and CCP upon approval of the President of the Philippines. It is awarded every three years to individuals who excel in the different fields of art, especially those who have made significant contributions that helped develop national cultural identity and created new paths for future artists. (makapag-apply nga. baka ma-avail ko!)
“We are not looking for a saint. We just want to honor someone for her amazing talent and work which brought glory and inspiration to the country.” Rep. Taduran says. (baka pwede ako maging Santa Santita!)
