Filipina fighter Jomary Torres said last Friday's loss against undefeated Indian rising star Ritu Phogat was still a "good experience."
The opportunity to fly overseas and to step into the Circle at the Singapore Indoor Stadium was enough for Torres to be grateful amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Torres, however, admitted that it was a painful loss after suffering five straight defeats with a no-declaration contest in the Singapore-based mixed martial arts promotion.

"Malungkot dahil hindi nga pinalad sa gabi na ito," said the 24-year-old Torres, citing that the several lockdowns in the Philippines due to the pandemic affected her preparation big time. "Pero good experience sakin 'tong laban na to."
Phogat (4-0), meanwhile, remained unscathed after scoring a technical knockout win over Torres in the first round of their atomweight clash in ONE: Big Bang.
After maintaining a dominant top position, Phogat punished Torres with vicious elbows and hammer fists until referee Justin Brown stopped the match at the 3:55 mark.
Should ONE Championship give Torres another chance to fight in the Circle, the Zamboanga-native fighter will be ready to bounce back once more.
But for now, the atomweight fighter from Catalan Fighting System wants to assess herself before heading back to their gym in Makati.
