Bren Esports once again displayed its championship poise as it pulled off a comeback 2-1 victory against Myanmar titlist Burmese Ghouls to advance to the grand finals of the ONE Esports MPL Invitational on Sunday.

It was the same composure that the MPL-Philippines Season 6 king showed versus Aura PH in the quarterfinals a day before, clawing its way back from an opening game loss en route to winning the best-of-three series.

Bren is set to take on Indonesian runner-up Alter Ego in the best-of-five battle later on for the right to be crowned as the first-ever MPLI champion and grab the lion's share of the $100,000 (P4.8 million) prize pool.

After dropping the first game, Bren banked on the Esmeralda and Pharsa of SEA Games gold medalists CJ "Ribo" Ribo and Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel, respectively, to force a Game Three.

Ribo continued his stellar game in the decider, this time with a perfect Alice play while joining forces with fellow SEA Games winner.
