The government's pandemic task force has given the green light to the limited conduct of workshops, training, seminars, and other related events in areas under the general community quarantine (GCQ), Malacañang announced.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said in a statement that the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has allowed the conduct of the following events in GCQ areas:
- Workshops
- Training
- Seminars
- Congresses
- Conferences
- Board meetings
- Colloquia
- Conclaves
- Symposia
- Consumer trade shows.
The events will be permitted up to 30 percent of the venue's capacity.
Venues include restaurants, in general; restaurants attached to hotels; ballrooms and function halls within hotels; venues within hotel premises; and mall atria.
The departments of Tourism (DOT) and Trade and Industry (DTI) are tasked to issue the necessary guidelines.
According to Roque, the IATF also approved the recommendation of the Office of the Cabinet Secretariat to implement the Safety Seal Certification Program in addition to StaySafe.ph.
All establishments, such as government offices, private companies, hotels and business establishments, and public transportation units are now required to adopt the Safety Seal.
The IATF directed the DTI; DOT; and the departments of Health (DOH), Labor and Employment (DOLE), Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Transportation (DOTr) to issue the necessary joint memorandum circular to detail the requirements to secure a Safety Seal which include the adoption of the Stay Safe application and the generation of its QR Code to be displayed in all entrances.
Last week, Malacañang announced that StaySafe.ph, the government’s digital contact tracing application of choice, will be made mandatory for adoption and use in all national government agencies and instrumentalities as well as local government units.
The Palace official added that private establishments, facilities, and offices are encouraged to use Stafysafe.ph while those with existing contact tracing applications are enjoined to integrate their systems with the Staysafe.ph system.
