Beau Belga, Jericho Cruz and a few other PBA players took their last hurrah in the gym for this year before celebrating the New Year's Eve with their loved ones.

Rain or Shine star big man Belga posted on Instagram videos of himself lifting weights at the Pound For Pound Fitness in Las Piñas.

NLEX guard Cruz went to skills and athletic performance coach Bernard Villalobos, founder of Above Limits Basketball, to do some drills as part of his preparation for his stint with Guam in the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers in February next year.

Cruz and the Guamanian basketball team are currently on the third spot in Group C behind powerhouse teams New Zealand and Australia and only ahead of Hong Kong on point differential.

Also taking his last day in the gym was Magnolia's Alvin Abundo, who performed a deadlift at the ABRAGA Fitness Center in Parañaque.

Abundo, together with former Hotshots teammates Aldrech Ramos (Terrafirma) and Bambam Gamalinda (San Miguel), put up the ABRAGA gym in 2019 with an aim of helping fellow athletes attain their fitness goals.

Magnolia's backcourt duo of Mark Barroca and Jio Jalalon, Phoenix's Justin Chua, Alaska's Rodney Brondial and Meralco's John Pinto, among others, recently had their sessions with Nicolo Chua, the man behind the Simple Grind basketball and fitness training.

Not only did the players' last workout for the year help them improve their game, it also served them well in their bid to avoid weight gain during the holiday season.
