Momoland's Nancy McDonie congratulates Charlie Dizon for MMFF victory

Korean-American singer, actress, host, and a member of the girl group Momoland Nancy McDonie has expressed delight over the recent Best Actress win of her Filipina best friend Charlie Dizon in the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival.

On Instagram, the 20-year-old K-pop idol shared how "proud" and "impressed" she is with the 24-year-old Flipino star's latest milestone.

"You are amazing Charlie! You deserve Best actress! Congrats," Nancy wrote.

Charlie won Best Actress for the movie "Fan Girl," beating award-winning stars Nora Aunor and Sylvia Sanchez.

In July, Nancy shared that Charlie is her “best friend in the Philippines.”

Nancy and Charlie first met nine years ago when they trained to become K-pop idols in South Korea.

Last year, Nancy signed a contract with ABS-CBN. In fact, she was cast in a series titled "Soulmate Project" led by James Reid.
