Fans run ad on Burj Khalifa, world's tallest building, to celebrate BTS' V's birthday

Fans of K-pop superstars BTS member V marked his 25th birthday on Dec. 30 by running an ad on Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, in Dubai.
The ad was run at 6:50 p.m. in Dubai, or 23:50 p.m. in Korea, on Dec. 29 with the theme song “Winter Bear” by V that was released in August last year.
“Hey our cute Taehyung did you see itPurple heart. Happy Birthday to you, our precious baby bearTeddy bear. Thank you everyone and thanks for Taehyung coming into our lives. Life is nothing without you,” posted China Baidu Vbar (@KIMTAEHYUNGBAR_) on Twitter, V’s China fanbase which raised money to run the ad on Burj Khalifa.
A single three-minute display ad on Burj Khalifa costs about AED 250,000, according to the Dubai-based The Filipino Times, which is equivalent to $68,000 or P3.27 million.
“#BurjKhalifa celebrates the birthday of V, the South Korean singer from the popular band BTS! #TaehyungonBurjKhalifa #HAPPYVDAY #HappyTaehyungDay #HappyBrithdayTaehyung,” Burj Khalifa posted on Twitter along with the video of V’s ad on the building.
According to a fan’s tweet, China Baidu Vbar has raised 7 million RMB ($1.07 million or P51.49 million) to celebrate V’s birthday this year.
On Twitter, fans celebrated V’s birthday by trending topics including #HappyBirthdayTaehyung and #WinterPrinceTaehyung. V was born Kim Tae-hyung on Dec. 30, 1995 in Daegu, South Korea, and debuted in BTS in 2013.
Burj Khalifa was opened in 2010 and with a height of over 828 meters (2,716.5 ft) and more than 160 stories, Burj Khalifa has set the following records, according to its website: tallest building in the world, tallest free-standing structure in the world, highest number of stories in the world, highest occupied floor in the world, highest outdoor observation deck in the world, elevator with the longest travel distance in the world and tallest service elevator in the world.
