Joseph Marco details Russian 'love connection'

Remember the James Bond film "From Russia With Love?" No? Well, it doesn't matter really.

We were just reminded of the film hearing Joseph Marco's tale about how he found love.

Appearing as guest on "Magandang Buhay," Joseph revealed details relating to his first meeting with his beautiful Russian girlfriend Darja Romanova.

"Nagkakilala kami ni Dasha through a common friend and we started talking gamit ang Google Translate. Kasi hindi siya nagi-English. But now, she learned how to speak in English. But you know what, even without the (Google) translate, alam mo 'yung feeling na may connection talaga kayo? You guys understand each other. So ganoon 'yung feeling. Parehas kami ng iniisip," he shared.

Asked what he thinks made Darja fall for him, he shared: "Well sabi niya sa akin na nagustuhan niya raw ako dahil sa smile ko. Kasi mahilig siya sa BTS. Sabi ko Russian na mahilig sa BTS, K-pop, doon ko talaga nasabi na iba siya. Mayroon siyang isang gusto roon, si Suga na palaging nag-i-smile, na-compare niya ako." 

At first, Joseph was not comfortable with their long-distance relationship, but now he realized it is what makes it special.

"At this age, parang important sa iyo na: hindi lang sa magkita kayo but to maintain whatever it is kahit pa gaano kalayo ang distance. So we talk every day, we update each other. And 'yun din ang na-realize ko, na I think healthy din for couples na may space, may space ng konti." 

Marco, 32, made his relationship with Romanova known to the masses last August via a heartfelt post on Instagram.
