Lani Misalucha reveals problem with hearing loss

Lani Misalucha is now partially deaf following a bout with bacterial infection.

According to her, she and her husband are suffering the same thing after they both caught bacterial meningitis.

She shared the symptoms appeared last Oct. 9.

She recalled, "Masakit ang buong katawan, parang pounding headache."

"Meron lang talaga kaming patuloy na nararamdaman which is 'yung dizziness, and pagkahina ng pandinig. Para kang nasa ilalim ng tubig, so muffled talaga tsaka high-pitched."

The 51-year-old star admitted it has worried her.

"Hindi ko pa rin talaga ma-absorb na ito 'yung nangyari, na parang, 'Paano ito, singer ako? Kailangan ko ng pandinig ko.' Parang sinabi ko na lang sa sarili ko, 'Okay, singing may not be for me anymore.'"

"'Yung feeling ko napaka-helpless ako and parang hopeless na rin. Parang wala pa akong makitang answer right now. Actually nagsi-search pa rin ako ngayon. You keep on searching, meron pala Siyang ibang sagot, hindi lang natin nakikita kasi iba 'yung gusto nating sagot na matanggap. Sabi ko 'Okay lang,' kung ito 'yung binigay na challenge then I'll take the challenge."
