LA TRINIDAD, Benguet - Amidst the crisis brought by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, a farmer proves his honesty and act of kindness by returning a bag containing cash amounting to P133, 800.75 which he found on Christmas day.

Mando Alonzo of Barangay Ba-ayan,Tublay,Benguet, said he found a sling bag while passing through Sitio Sayatan, Baayan Road, Tublay, Benguet and was surprised to discover that it contained a huge amount of cash.
He found the IDs and cellphone number of the owner inside the bag. He then called the owner and agreed to meet at the police station for the turn over.
After the phone call, the farmer immediately proceeded to the police station and sought the assistance of MSgt. Ronald Neil Bagta of Tublay MPS.
Roger Santiago, 29, a resident of Poblacion, Bauko, Mt. Province, arrived and presented proof of identity as owner.
In the presence of police personnel, the items and cash inside the wallet were checked and confirmed to be complete.
Santiago thanked Alonzo for his honesty and kindness.
