Why Kris Aquino is giving away P2,685 cash gifts

A day after Christmas, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino took to instagram to announce that she would be giving away cash gifts to her followers on Facebook and Instagram.

Aquino said that 100 lucky followers will receive P2,685 cash on Jan. 3 and 25.

On Instagram Dec. 26, Kris explained the significance of P2,685 cash that her social media followers would receive. Her full post:

"The day after Christmas ?

"Alam kong sobrang swerte ako because i have the capacity to give my sons the gifts they were wishing for...

"Now, this is my wish- na makatulong sa inyong makabangon, most especially yung mga na retrench sa trabaho.

"My mom by her example taught me: kung mag-isa ka lang na aangat, mas madali kang babagsak kasi wala kang natulungan para patibayin ka o saluhin ka sa oras na ikaw naman ang nangailangan.

"Nagpa compute po ako, ang weekly minimum wage is P2685... it’s my wish to give people hope that they still have a chance to find a new job, a new opportunity...

"My team will be resting but on January 3, we’ll announce the 50 of you who will be chosen from IG & FB to receive the P2685 from me.

"On January 25, my mom’s birthday, another 50 of you will receive P2685.

"It’s my way of expressing my love for all of you, my followers, and my feeling of being responsible to do what i can para tulungan ang ?? na makabangon. LABAN NATIN ‘to... at maaasahan nyo ko.

"Let’s have a healthier, kinder, and more compassionate 2021! #lovelovelove"
