FAMOUS: Sylvia Sanchez and Jinggoy Estrada bring the family home for Christmas

Award-winning actress Sylvia Sanchez is back in the movies this holiday season via the movie "Coming Home," one of the 10 official entries of the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Under the direction of Adolf Alix Jr., Sanchez takes the role of a different “nanay” with co-actors Martin Del Rosario, Edgar Allan Guzman, Vin Abrenica, Shaira Diaz, Julian Estrada, Ariella Arida, at Jinggoy Estrada.

In our interview, the actress said that this role is very “tagos sa puso.”

“Siyempre, ito na naman ako, nanay na naman ako ng isang pamilya. Ito, maganda ‘to para sa akin. Sinasabi ko nga sa lahat ng mga tao lalo na sa friends ko and family ko na alam kong may broken family. Alam mo ‘yun? Produkto ng broken family. Manood kayo. Ito ‘yung sagot sa mga katanungan mo bilang isa sa may ganitong problema kasi ang ganda ganda ng movie na ‘t. I mean napanood ko na ‘to nakita ko na ‘to kabuuan at ibang klase ang movie na ito kasi hindi lang ito istorya ng pamilya lang na masaya, andito ‘yung betrayal, andito,” Sanchez said.

Sanchez also gave a teaser on what to expect from this MMFF family drama.

“Di ba pag broken family andito ‘yung tatay, wala na ‘yung nanay, wala na hindi na magkababalikan? Dito kasi bumalik 'Coming Home' kasi bumalik and may bumalik .. andito ang istorya ng tatanggapin ba? Or hindi? Andito ‘yung struggle ng bawa't anak na mayroon galit, mayroong nakapag-patawad pero mas excited ako kasi andaming aral na mapupulot sa pekikulang ‘to,” she added.

"Coming Home" is now streaming under the digital app Upstream, the official partner of the 2020 MMFF.

Popular celebrity and pageant showmaker Jojo Bragais faced the entertainment and pageant media recently for the launching of his YouTube Channel which now offers the online show “Ready, Set, Jo!” that offers fun interviews and games for fellow celebrity friends and beauty queens in the industry.

Bragais revealed in our interview that the show designs for the upcoming Binibining Pilipinas Pageant called “Stella,” named after Bb. Pilipinas Chairperson Stella Marquez de Araneta,  is now ready for the new batch of candidates.

“This year tatlong kulay ng shoes na ginawa natin for the Binibinis and very thankful kami dahil kami pa rin ang official partner ng Binibining Pilipinas," Bragais said.

Bragais also revealed as to where all his earnings go and his plans of slowing down.

“Nag invest ako sa isang farm. Gusto ko pa rin ng simple at tahimik na buhay. I dont plan to stay long sa showbiz pero yung pag-gawa ng Bragais shoes legacy ko na 'yan na di mawawala” he said.

Bragais is being helped by his good friend Director Jill De Urdaneta in the production of his video blogs and YouTube postings.
