Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez has ordered City Treasurer Anthony Pulmano to release the amount of P5,354,500 from the general fund and P286, 500 from the special education fund as gratuity pay to all the city's job order employees.
According to Public Information Office (PIO) chief Mar Jimenez, Olivarez asked that J.O. employees be given amounts ranging from P1,500 to P3,000 since they also served as frontliners at the height of COVID-19.
Jimenez said J.O. employees who have already served for more thanfour months will get P3,000 while those who served less will be receiving P1,500.
He said that job order employees classified under the general fund are street sweepers and other volunteers who helped the city government during the surge of the pandemic through the distribution of food packs to city residents.
The PIO chief added that job order employees classified under the SEF are non-teaching personnel who helped teachers and personnel from the City Department of Social Development Office during the distribution of the special amelioration program.
