Morissette Amon makes it to Billboard Next Big Sound chart in US

Seasoned singer Morissette Amon made it to the Billboard Next Big Sound chart on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

Morissette got seventh place on the global list behind the American contemporary Christian music and worship band Cloverton.

Billboard Next Big Sound chart tracks and lists musical acts of fast-rising artists globally.

On Instagram, the 24-year-old star called out her fandom Solidmowienatics for making it happen. She described her supporters as "amazing beyond words."

Morissette first rose to prominence when she finished runner-up on TV5's "Star Factor" at 14. In 2012, she made her professional stage debut in the Repertory Philippines production of Disney's "Camp Rock" in the role of Mitchie Torres. 

The following year, she competed in the first season of ABS-CBN's "The Voice of the Philippines" where she became part of Sarah Geronimo's team. And since then she was able to carve her own name in the entertainment scene locally and internationally.
