Fair weather, isolated rain showers seen this Christmas
Fair weather will prevail over most of the country on Christmas Eve, apart from some isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the northeast monsoon and easterlies will be the prevailing weather systems over the country on Thursday.
The northeast monsoon or "amihan" may bring cloudy skies with rains over Batanes.Â
PAGASA advised the residents of Batanes to be vigilant in case moderate to heavy rains occur that may trigger flash floods or landslides in the province.
The amihan may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya.
However, the monsoon rains may not have a significant impact over these areas.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the warm and humid easterly winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
There is also a possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms that usually occur in the afternoon or evening.
A gale warning remains in effect on Wednesday afternoon due to strong to gale force winds associated with the amihan.
Rough to very rough seas may affect the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon, particularly Batanes, northern Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte.
As sea travel over these waters is still risky, fishing boats and other small sea vessels were advised to prevent from travelling out to sea, while larger sea vessels were asked to remain alert against big waves.
