BFAR disperses 1,100 abalones, 282 sea cucumber juveniles in Pangasinan marine protected area

ANDA, Pangasinan -- The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Mariculture Technology Demonstration Center has dispersed around 1,100 abalones and 282 sea cucumber juveniles at the Marine Protected Area of Anda, Pangasinan on Tuesday.

Report said the activity was led by Ed Ronquillo, Jr, Abalone hatchery in-charge, and Precy Galiling, sea cucumber hatchery in-charge and witnessed by Anda local authorities, Bantay Dagat, and village officials of Cabungan of the said municipality.

The Marine Olive Ridley Turtle rescued in Sual, Pangasinan last December 2 was also released after one week of restoring it back to good health in the waters of Hundred Island National Park in Alaminos, Pangasinan.
