Displaying the heart of a true champion, Bren Epro completed a reverse sweep of fierce rival Smart Omega, 3-2, in the grand finals to extend its reign in The Nationals Season 2 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang conference on Sunday night.

Faced with a daunting 0-2 deficit, the black and yellow squad showed its championship poise as it snared a second straight title and claimed the lion's share of the P1.5 million prize pool--the highest in the professional league's young history.

The Francis "Duckeyyy" Glindro-coached team reasserted its dominance over Steven "Daledalus" Vitug's side after ruling the Season 1 Finale and MPL Season 6.

It was a massive heartbreaker for Omega which coasted to a two-game lead behind veteran Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-anon's Luo Yi in Game 1 and Natalia in Game 2.

However, Haze and company were not able to close out the series and finally take a sweet revenge as their feeding Diggie strategy failed in Game 3 with Karl "KarTzy" Nepomuceno carrying Bren with his signature Lancelot.

Seasoned sidelaner Mico "Coco" Sampang then proved to be the key factor with his Claude in the 13-minute victory in Game 4, completing the momentum shift for Bren.

Locked in a nip-and-tuck battle in Game 5, CJ "Ribo" Ribo playing Atlas came through with a championship-winning three-man Fatal Links in the river area as KarlTzy's Harith did the cleaning. With only two Omega heroes left, Bren went straight for the base and ended the nail-biting game in 22 minutes.

It was another great championship run for Bren before gearing up for the second MLBB World Championship (M2) next month in Singapore. Omega, as runner-up of the latest MPL season, is also invited to the first offline international tilt in 2021.
