Truth x Lakay Gaming, Save the Children PH raise over P50K for typhoon victims

Filipino mixed martial stars have raised over P50,000 monetary funds for the victims of Typhoons "Rolly" and "Ulysses" last month amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Truth x Lakay Gaming, composed of ONE Championship icons Brandon Vera and Team Lakay's Joshua Pacio, Eduard Folayang and Kevin Belingon, has joined forces with non-government organization Save the Children PH for a fundraiser called "eSave Natin ang Pasko" since Dec. 2.

As of this writing, the charity stream has raised a total of P55,541.

“I think this is an amazing opportunity to give back to the people and the fans who have supported our careers,” said reigning ONE Championship strawweight king Joshua Pacio.

“We are glad to be able to help where we can, even in our own small way. I’m sure the funds we’ve raised here will be of great use, and we’re looking forward to participating in more of these campaigns in the future."

A 500-peso donation provides a child with a Learning Corner Kit which contains learning and hygiene materials while a 1000-peso donation helps a family with a Family Learning Kit as a way to their children amid these trying times.

Donors can visit bit.ly/truthlakaysave for more information and fund transfer can be done through GCash, PayMaya or bank transactions with one more day left for its target end date.

"It’s important that we give each other a helping hand, especially in these difficult times. We’re willing to do what we can do for our fellow Filipinos," added the 24-year-old Pacio.

Powered by ONE Championship and ONE ESports, Lakay x Gaming is a gaming platform launched last October that delivers Mobile Legends: Bang Bang content through Facebook Gaming.
