This holiday season, the most accessible place to feel the cool breeze and the vacation ambience is none other than Tagaytay. With a new expressway and a new bridge that leads to more tourist spots, this city welcomes tourists, especially those who have been cooped up at home for so long. 

With the myriad of options available in Tagaytay, one hotel stands out for being “brave,” opening in Yule time this Dec. 18 with a very tempting offer that shouldn’t be missed -- all its rooms are at 50 percent off! While others are increasing their rates, this newest hotel in Tagaytay is slashing its prices in half, giving more families a chance to take a respite in a safe and secured property that is also accessible to the tourism spots of Tagaytay. 

This hotel is none other than Hotel Casiana, which started its soft-opening operations. Rising at 10 stories high, it is dubbed as a “tranquil home in the heart of Tagaytay.”     

According to a statement from the hotel, Hotel Casiana has “100 cozy rooms of different comfortable and functional arrangements, such as two-single bed, king couple bed, small to big family suites.”  All of the rooms, the hotel said, are “deluxe with the finest amenities and upscale finishing, and features rooms with smart toilets. All these and more will surely please guests, whether they are with family, friends, or business associates.”

Even though the pandemic has affected Tagaytay, which relies heavily on tourism, Hotel Casiana remained “optimistic in the business climate of the city.” Opening the hotel is the company’s way to provide employment to members of the sector affected by this health crisis.

During the hotel’s socially-distanced soft opening last Dec. 18, Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque lauded the hotel’s management for providing opportunities and employment to Filipino workers. “Tourism is very important as it provides jobs and income to our fellow men. For me, what Hotel Casiana is doing is very commendable as it helps Tagaytay on its way to recovery,” Roque said. 

He also led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, together with Representative Dr. Janette Garin, Hotel Casiana President Jerry T. Sy, Business Partner Anthony Li, and General Manager Aileen Lin. 

Even though everyone is welcome to stay a night or two, the hotel is strict when it comes to observing current health and safe protocols. According to the statement, the hotel “will strictly adhere to IATF guidelines and the local government’s strict implementation for both the hotel team and guests, such as wearing face masks and face shields, enforcing physical distancing, imposing age restrictions, monitoring of body temperature and the use of alcohol placed strategically in common areas.”

As it is still in its soft opening stage, there are still more amenities soon-to-open at the hotel. There is a full-service restaurant, a pleasant café, and a vibrant bar for night caps; a fully-equipped gym and spa and a ready-to-use heated pool. But due to safety protocols, the pool is not ready to serve guests.

The hotel aims to be the “benchmark of excellent service,” positioning itself not only as a premium accommodation but also a “home” where one can feel comfortable, relaxed, and recharged after a stay. Hotel Casiana is located along the Tagaytay–Nasugbu main highway, near the Mahogany Market and Taal Lake.
