Man dies after drowning off Tondaligan beach in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY – A 30-year-old visitor from Pampanga, who had been drinking with his friend, died after drowning off Tondaligan Beach in Barangay Bonuan Gueset here Wednesday evening.

Dagupan City Police identified the victim as Jefferson Juan Carlos, a resident of Betis, Pampanga, presently residing at Tambac Muelag, Tambac, Dagupan City.
Carlos had been drinking with his friend Russel Roque when he decided to go for a swim at around 7 p.m. without Roque knowing it.

Roque said he only learned that his companion had gone for a swim after he saw lifeguards trying resuscitate him after rescuing from the sea.

Carlos was rushed to Region Medical Center, but was pronounced dead on-arrival by the attending physician.
