While inside their service van traversing along Makati Avenue, 22-year-old Danny Ng noticed that his mobile phones were both missing around 10 p.m. He said that he remembered placing them inside his pocket.

Thinking that the two mobile phones just slipped from his pocket, Ng checked under the chair of the van but he did not find anything.

Ng told policemen that he politely asked his peers inside the vehicle to show the contents of their bags. They all agreed except for one, Xiaoshuang.

After a few minutes, the victim once again asked Xiaoshuang to open his bag. This time, he agreed and opened his bag.

Upon opening the bag of the Chinese national, Ng saw his two mobile phones. The suspect was then brought to the Makati Central Police Station.

Police said mobile phones taken from the Malaysian national are both worth P30, 000.

Xiaoshuang is now detained at the Makati Central Police Station.
