Officials of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas had an ocular inspection of the two venues that will be used for the third window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers slated February in Clark, Pampanga.

Photos posted by the SBP on its social media accounts Wednesday showed Executive Director Sonny Barrios leading the contingent in meetings with officials from Quest Hotel in Clark and the Angeles University Foundation in Angeles City.

Among the notable who joined Barrios were director of operations Butch Antonio and Coaches Academy head Jong Uichico, who called the shots for Gilas during its twin wins over Thailand in the recent second window held in Manama, Bahrain.

It would be recalled that Quest Hotel served as residence of the recent PBA bubble that began with a contingent of at least 350 composed of teams, league officials and staff while the AUF Sports and Cultural Center was the playing venue of the two-month Philippine Cup.

Quest Hotel officials had earlier expressed readiness in hosting the FIBA bubble given the experience gained from the PBA version.

FIBA gave the Philippines the right to host two groups of the final window of the continental qualifiers, with Gilas Pilipinas, South Korea, Indonesia and Thailand resuming play in Group A while Australia, New Zealand, Guam and Hong Kong looking to complete their assignments in Group C.
