The Office of the Vice President (OVP) was granted again its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification.
In a statement on Thursday, the OVP said it passed the recertification audit, “reassessing its implementation of its quality management system” under ISO 9001:2015.
This is the second time Vice President Leni Robredo’s office attained its ISO certification after obtaining it in 2017. The recertification is valid for another three years.
Robredo recognized her team’s efforts and said she hoped they would serve the citizens better.
“I am grateful to our OVP family for always being ready and willing to face the challenges that come with public service,” she said.
“I hope this inspires each member of our team to go over and above what is expected, because the Filipino people deserve no less,” she further said.
The ISO certification was one of the steps taken early on by the office of Robredo, who believes that “professionalizing the OVP’s ranks and streamlining its processes will ensure better service to the public.”
According to the ISO’s website, a certification requires an organization to be able to “consistently provided products and services that need customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.”
Auditors from international certification body TÜV Rheinland commended the OVP for its commitment to improve its performance in public service and advocacy functions even during the COVID-19 crisis.
