Pops Fernandez on being romantically linked to Derek Ramsay: 'Bakit ako nasali sa kuwento na 'yan?'

Pops Fernandez is not that bothered about rumors that she is Derek Ramsay's new apple of the eye.

Not that she welcomes the idea.

In an article published on PEP, the singer-actress said she sees no problem with it mainly because "it’s absolutely not true.”

It all started with Pops greeting Derek's mom, Remedios, on her birthday.

Rumormongers were quick to conclude this is testament to her making sweet music with Derek.

Derek vehemently denied this, maintaining his mom and Pops are "best friends."

As to why she kept her silence amid the accusation, Pops said, "Ang weird naman na ako ’yung magsasalita, right?”

“Anyway, hindi po siya totoo. How it started, hindi ko rin po alam. But unfortunately, ang masakit noon, ang dali palang maniwala ng mga tao ngayon!”

She pointed out how she can actually count the times she met with Derek.

Pops also reiterated that all those times, Andrea Torres, Derek's ex, was also present.

“We don’t talk to each other. We don’t really text each other... Maybe siguro kasi nagkikita kami ng mom ni Derek, but for another reason and for another purpose… but other than that, not at all,” she shared.

“Actually, ako ’yung nahihiya. Bakit ako nasali diyan sa kuwento na ’yan? Nakakahiya sa kanila. Nakakahiya po dahil hindi po totoo.”
