10K MMR hard carry Yowe and midlaner Ken took charge in the crucial Games 2 and 3 to keep Execration alive in the $50,000 (P2.4 million) regional Dota 2 online tournament.

Filipino powerhouse team TNC Predator, meanwhile, takes on classic rival Fnatic in the upper bracket first round on Thursday at 5 p.m. followed by the tussle between stand-in Carlo "Kuku" Palad and Karl "Karl" Jayme's T1 and Abed "Abed" Yusop and Daryl "iceiceice" Koh's Team Dog.

After losing the opening game to Vice in 27 minutes, Execration banked on Ken's Storm Spirit and Yowe's Drow Ranger to equalize the series with a smashing 44-17 victory in 27 minutes as well.

Ken finished with a 14-2-16 kill-death-assist record even as Yowe tallied 12-3-16. Veteran captain Ralph Richard "RR" Peñano showed his supporting brilliance with 28 assists.

Yowe on his Void and Ken on his Leshrac continued to carry the fight for Execration in the deciding Game 3.

Yowe and Ken hit "dominating" streaks in a 4-for-1 exchange in the 20th minute. Two minutes later, Yowe caught three Vice players with a Chronosphere, setting up another 4-for-1 clash for a 20-8 tally and an 8k gold advantage.

Execration went on to win the succeeding skirmishes and a full team wipe in the 39th minute proved to be the nail in the coffin for another 44-17 stomp.

Another PH squad in Neon Esports crashed out of the eight-team tourney after suffering a 2-0 sweep to defending champion Motivate.Trust Gaming of Thailand in the other lower bracket pairing.
