The University of Santo Tomas (UST) will be holding its “Paskuhan” online this year as mass gatherings are still discouraged amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The virtual Paskuhan, with a theme "Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel," will kick off with the lighting of the Christmas tree on Wednesday (December 16) 6 p.m. at the UST Grandstand.
It will be followed by a Christmas concert at 6:05 p.m. featuring homegrown Thomasian talents from the UST Conservatory of Music.
The Paskuhan mass will be celebrated Thursday (December 17), 5 p.m. at Santisimo Rosario Parish.
An online "Concert-for-a-Cause" with a mini-documentary of past UST Paskuhan concerts and fireworks will have a livestreaming on Friday (December 18) at 7 p.m.
All events will be livestreamed on the official UST Facebook page.
Earlier, the University of the Philippines (UP) canceled its annual Lantern Parade amid the ongoing pandemic.
UP announced that it will instead hold a simple program at Quezon Hall on December 18 at 6 p.m. "to commemorate and remember the entirety of 2020."
