"Ghost Fighter" is getting a live-action remake at Netflix.
The streaming giant on Wednesday announced that Yoshihiro Togashi's "Yu Yu Hakusho," or more popularly known as "Ghost Fighter" in the Philippines, is getting a live-action series.
"When Yusuke dies saving another's life, he'll embark on a journey across the world of humans, spirits, and demons to return to the land of the living. Yoshihiro Togashi's legendary manga Yu Yu Hakusho will be a live action series on Netflix," it wrote on Twitter.
Netflix contents acquisition director Kazutaka Sakamoto is serving as executive producer.
The animated series is based on a manga series of the same name. Togashi published the original manga from 1990 to 1994.
Its anime adaptation first premiered on Philippine television via IBC-13 in the mid-90s and on GMA in 1999.
"Ghost Fighter" is also currently streaming on Netflix.
