PALO, Leyte – The Department of Health regional office 8 (DOH-8) has turned over a new hospital building built at a cost of P200 million to Leyte province.
Leyte Governor Leopoldo Dominico L. Petilla said the new hospital building was subsequently turned over to the Western Leyte Provincial Hospital (WLPH) in the City of Baybay.
The building was constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office 8 (DPWH-8) inside the WLPH.
Petilla received the symbolic key from Dr. Exuperia Sabalberino, officer-in-charge of the DOH-8, during the ceremonial turnover of the new building held at the conference room of the Department of Health government center Candahug, Palo, Leyte.
The turnover ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Grace Fernandez chief of WLPH, Dr. Norberto Oja Baybay City health officer, Mr. Diogracias Pernites Baybay City Administrator, Engr. Toribio Udtuhan - DPWH-8 representative, and Dr. Minerva Molon, former DOH regional director.
