The bicameral Commission on Appointments (CA) confirmed today the appointments of two ranking Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) officials as ambassadors.
Leslie Junio Baja was confirmed as Philippine Ambassador to Morocco with concurrent jurisdiction over Guinea, Mali, Mauritania and Senegal.

Raymund Reyes Balatbat was confirmed as Philippine Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic.
Also confirmed as Foreign Service Officer (FSO) class II was Leandro Luiz Soliven Manantan.
Their confirmations were favorably recommended by Senator Panfilo M. Lacson, chairman of the CA foreign affairs committee, in today’s CA plenary session presided by Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III.
