Cloud shaped like Virgin Mary seen on Manila Cathedral's rooftop

A cloud formation depicting the image of a pregnant Blessed Virgin Mary that was caught on video standing on the rooftop of the Manila Cathedral last Dec. 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, has attracted over 100,000 views, and counting, on Facebook.

The whole episode that lasted for over two minutes was filmed on video, and witnessed by hundreds of people, who attended a Holy Mass outside the church because they could not be accommodated inside the cathedral due to restriction imposed by authorities amid coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

It was during the Holy Communion that a column of cloud initially appeared over the rooftop of the cathedral, and in slow motion the cloud formed into an image that looked like a pregnant Blessed Virgin Mary.

The unfolding phenomenon was seen as the cloudy image stood over
the rooftop of the church as the faithful down below were awed of what they saw.

Church authorities could not be reached for comment regarding the episode.

The Philippines is the only Catholic country in Asia and the Blessed Virgin Mary is its patroness.

The dogma of the Catholic Church is that the Blessed Virgin Mary was conceived without original sin, the one and only in the whole humanity.

She is the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Immaculate Conception every December 8, a holiday of obligation.

Throughout history, the Blessed Mother has been venerated by the Catholic faithful all over the world as she is also the intercessor of all graces, and has appeared in many apparitions, such as at Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe and many more the past centuries.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, countless have testified to have been healed of their sickness since time immemorial.

During the Fatima Apparitions in Portugal in 1917, the Blessed Virgin urged the faithful to repent for their sins and pray daily the Holy Rosary for the world to attain peace.
