Ride the NIKI orbit with her 'Moonchild' capsule collection

If there’s anything singer-songwriter Niki Zefanya, popularly known as NIKI, doesn’t keep lowkey, it’s her merch. Global brand GUESS has recently released its sought-after collaboration with the Indonesian 88rising superstar to help her dot her transcendence with tangible, wearable imprints.

An ode to her latest album, GUESS Originals x NIKI 'Moonchild' bleeds in black and purple instrumental of the dark realm NIKI has created with a sense of underlying grief and her penchant for the ‘90s R&B scene. The distinction of the nine-piece collection also stems from NIKI's musical embodiment of the moon’s tripartite lunar phases: the crescent, the eclipse, and the full moon.

"To have my own GUESS Originals x NIKI ‘Moonchild’ collection is like a fever dream!” says NIKI. “I used to play dress-up in my mom’s GUESS shoes and handbags as a little girl. I remember regularly perusing the stores with her as a teenager! To see an album that I worked on for two years take on a new life in fashion is a dream come true!"

“NIKI is a young and energetic artist from the 88rising team that we have been excited to work with over the past three years,” says GUESS's director of brand partnerships, Nicolai Marciano. “The first time NIKI had an in-store appearance for us, her presence created pandemonium with fans. Once there was more music, I was able to check it out at the studio and she immediately impressed me with her sound and vision to market the album. To see it come full circle through our partnership is really meaningful for both brands.”

Part of the three-year 88rising joint capsule, The GUESS Originals x NIKI ‘Moonchild’ ranges from ₱1,898 to ₱5,498 and includes a women’s tank top that pairs with a matching biker short in a constellation print. The rest of the collection is unisex, which includes a selection of short sleeve t-shirts, hoodies, jogger pants, and baseball hats, all with the signature Moonchild logo across the back.
