The DSWD said the release of UCT grants this month can help alleviate the condition of families who where badly affected by recent storms.

The 4Ps beneficiaries who will receive UCT subsidies are those from Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Western Visayas, Cordillera Administrative Region, and National Capital Region.

They will be receiving the grants through cash cards issued by the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).

UCT is a one-time cash subsidy provided to qualified poor households and individuals to help them cope with the adverse economic impact of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law of 2018.

Furthermore, the DSWD has already prepared the payroll for UCT-Pantawid beneficiaries in other parts of the country and will begin distribution as soon as the budget for the grant subsidies are released to LBP.

The department said it will continue to closely coordinate with LBP for the creation of the cash card accounts of the qualified beneficiaries and crediting of grants to their individual accounts.
