Thirdy Ravena recovers from COVID-19, rejoins Neophoenix practice
Thirdy Ravena could make his return for Japan’s B.League side San-En Neophoenix this weekend after making a full recovery from COVID-19.
The Neophoenix announced Friday that Ravena tested negative in his recent PCR test which allowed him to join practice and the team’s two road matches against Levanga Hokkaido.
“Thirdy Ravena met the standards (the) Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and he has received notification of cancellation of home medical treatment from the medical institution in Toyohashi.
He tested negative for COVID-19, so he is back in practice,” San-En said on its website.
“In addition, he will go to Hokkaido with teammates because he can entry the game from Dec. 12th and 13th. We would like to inform whether he participates in the (two matches) later. We really appreciate all who support Thirdy Ravena.”
Ravena tested positive for COVID-19 last Nov. 27, prompting him to undergo a two-week quarantine period. The ex-Ateneo star later said that he was “feeling well” despite losing his sense of taste and smell.

San-En lost all four games while Ravena was under quarantine, dropping to the bottom of the standings with a 2-17 record.
Ravena’s presence is a welcome sight for the Neo-Phoenix as they look to end their slide against Hokkaido which sports a 4-15 slate.
The 23-year-old averaged 12.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists before testing positive for COVID-19.
