Police seize P10M shabu in Valenzuela City buy bust

Police on Thursday night (December 10) seized P10.2 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy bust operation in Valenzuela City.

The Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) arrested Ernesto Francisco, 49, and Genelyn Mararac, 33, both residents of Barangay Ugong, Valenzuela City.

The Northern Police District (NPD) public information office said, the anti-narcotics unit of the VCPS conducted surveillance for a week before conducting the operation after receiving confidential information about their activities.

Despite the huge drug haul, the NPD added that the suspects are not connected to a drug syndicate.

During the buy bust at the suspects' residence around 10:30 p.m., police confiscated a total of 1.5 kilos of suspected shabu contained in several plastic sachets.

Authorities also recovered P15,000 cash and various drug paraphernalia from the suspects.

The suspects will face conspiracy and sale and possession of illegal drugs, police said.
