To make overseas job opportunities available to Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) is pilot testing an online jobs fair system.

POEA said that the virtual job fair aims to augment the overseas employment facilitation efforts of the Duterte administration during this period of travel restrictions and community quarantine.
The pilot testing of the POEA virtual jobs fair is set for the second week of December. The project will be supervised and monitored by the POEA and the regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
To join, licensed recruitment agencies or private organizers are required to secure a job fair authority (JFA) before participating in the virtual jobs fair for proper verification and documentation.
They must log-in to the “POEA Job Fair” which is accessible in the POEA website on the actual date of the job fair and enroll their available job vacancies.
POEA said that job seekers may participate in the online jobs fair by registering through its eRegistration System.
“The system provides a link to the schedule of job fairs, including the available jobs during the event,” POEA said. “It has the capability to recommend jobs that match the applicant’s preference and can automatically submit a letter of applications to the selected recruitment agency,” it added.
