Film Academy of the Philippines reveals 2020 nominees

Vivian Velez, President of the Film Academy of the Philippines, announced today, December 11, the nominees for the 2020 FAP awards.

On Facebook, Velez said:

"The Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) way of nominating finalists for the coveted Luna trophy is different than the other film awarding bodies.

"Since the FAP is composed of member guilds, the process is through the formation of an electoral college by their accredited guild presidents.

"Each category nominee is screened by peers from the college, and independently and privately deliberated on by them for tabulation. The voting process is very closely monitored by an independent auditing team to ensure validity and fairness.

"Therefore, a FAP Awards nomination truly means the awardees have been recognized by their peers. Congratulations to all the nominees!!!"
